Well, even though I don't like the name, I still got it. All I have to say is that, well, it's awsome! I love the Wii! It is the best game console by far!
Sorry for the lack of posting but I went on vacation right after getting my Wii. I'm back and lovin' the Wii. I will rate it in a bit but for now I have other news. Pokemon Diamond and Pearl, after having a huge sucess in Japan, has an official date. April 22 is when it comes out! This has been announced for a few weeks, but, again, I was on vacation.
Now to start the Wii rating.
Sleak design. + 30 points.
Easy to set up. + 30 points.
Okay game packaged with the console. + 5 points.
Semi-easy controlls once you get used to them. + 5 points.
No choice of colors...yet. - 5 points.
Can connect to the web for free if you download the software. + 10 points.
You have to pay for most downloads. - 5 points.
Can look at weather. + 5 points.
Last I checked, you still can't look at news. - 5 points.
Hard to take the sensor bar off the TV if you stuck it on. - 5 points.
Cannot play DVDs or CDs. - 15 points.
No HD (Not a problem if you don't have an HD TV). - 10 points.
Costs only $249.99, compared to the PS3 ($499.99 for the core system, $599.99 for
everything) and the 360 (something like $599.99 for the core system and $699.99 for
everything), it is a great deal. + 50 points.
Wireless controllers. + 10 points.
Motion sensing controllers. + 10 points.
Easy to break wrist strap causing broken TVs and other things. - 30 points.
Free replacement wrist straps unlike the 360 (Microsoft didn't have the cooling fan
in there and then charged $30 to get it). + 10 points.
Great use of the controller. + 10 points.
Not enough games out at launch. - 10 points.
Good games announced. Super Mario Galaxy, Super Smash Bros. Brawl, MArio Party 8, and Metroid Prime 3: Coruption + 40 points.
At least one good game so far, Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. + 20 points.
Nunchuck. + 5 points.
Good use of the Nunchuck in most games. + 10 points.
Plays Gamecube games. + 30 points.
Uses Gamecube controllers for some of the download games. + 10 points.
Gamecube memory cards work for the Gamecube games. + 30 points.
Wii comes with half a gig of internal memory, it should be enough to last you the life of the console unless you go crazy with N64 downloaded games. + 50 points.
Wii can hold pics for you. + 40 points.
Wii uses, if you need it, an SD card for memory. + 30 points.
Can send and recieve messages. + 20 points.
It takes a very long time to synch the controllers (to synch the controllers, you must open the battery cover and hald down the red SYNC button while holding down the red SYNC button under the flap on the Wii above where you put your SD card). You have to do this if you want to play with more than one person and you have to do this with your Wii to be able to play your Wii after synching with someone elses Wii. It is epecially hard to synch a controller up to a Wii if you have a cover on it. -15 points.
Can connect wirelessly to the internet if you have a wireless router.If you don't have a wireless router, you can conect with a USB cord. + 20 points.
Nintendo system. DUH! + 20 points.
Altogether I give the Wii a 500 out of 600 possible points.

51-100 = Needs a lot of work.
101-150 = Needs some work.
151-200 = Okay but under par video game system.
201-250 = Good effort into the system but not really worth buying it if you are not a die hard (that companies name here) fan.
251-300 = Average system.
301-350 = Above average system.
351-400 = You definately want this if you are a die hard (that companies name here) fan.
401-450 = Most video game systems only have and average rating. This system has a way above average from me. You most likely will love this system so I urge you to buy it.
451-500 = This is a stunning system!
501-550 = Near perfect system.
551-599 = This is one of the greatest systems of all time!
