Mario Strikers Charged

Well it is time to review Mario Strikers Charged. I'll keep this kinda small.

Gameplay: 8/10

I love the single player on this game and the Wi-Fi makes it that much better. One thing I would change about the online play is the stupid "Season" lasts just 7 days before it erases your score! I had like 1000 points in the first few days but I didn't play it for like 4 days after that and the next time I was online my score said 0! It just makes me mad! The multi-player is good too but not as good as 2-on-2-online. And I like the new idea to have more than 1 type of sidekick on your team.

Graphics: 7/10

For a Wii game that is good. The people in the stands look more realistic than in most Mario Sports titles, as I glance at Mario Tennis for N64.

Music: 9/10

The music is really good for a game that was rushed. I love the music when Birdo dances and she is so cute in this game!

Control: 8/10

I like the controls for this game but as with any Wii game that you have to point at the screen you have to be careful not to have something between your Wiimote and the LED sensor. I lost a game (by 1 point) yesterday because I had my laptop in front of the Wiimote and the Wii didn't pick it up.

Final rating: 8/10

Wrap up

This game is very good especially if you liked the first one on GC. If you like Mario, Strikers, or just beating people online, this is a good game to get.

A Few Words

Hey y'all it ya fave, Englando. It has been brought to my attention that our site has a new commentor, nick. I just wanted to say that he has been stiring up controversy and is making it really tough on us. We apologize if we get a little verbal with him. In other news, the US Open starts tomorrow and I would like to say that I want to see a Serena-Sharapova final. Tune into the USA and CBS Network for full coverage. Also I would like to say I started a new year of school; it's going to be tough. Lastly, on a videogame note, I got internet for my Wii so it will be easier for me to blog. I'm not remembering the whole thing is about video games. See when I don't think there is anything important to do on this site, I just post random things. About Mario Party, not much news has come up about it but I just want to say that I am so happy that Mario Party is coming to the DS in November and then just a week before that Super Mario Galaxy and Cruis'n for Wii!

Manhunt 2

Even though I don't care about this game, because of critical comments, I will talk about this game. I don't know if this game is still banned from England, but it has an October 31st release date in the US. Manhunt 2 is rated M rather than AO like it was first going to be.

Metroid!!!!!

Well as you know I am SUPER EXCITED about the release of Metroid Prime 3: Corruption on Monday. So you can expect a review by sometime in early to mid September. And while I am on vacation I won't be posting much, seeing as how I'm going to be on VACATION! WOO! I love staying in a hotel! But you can expect my review of Mario Strikers Charged tomorrow. And for now, my review of Metroid and Super Metroid.

METROID

Well this game was first released for the NES in August 1987, 20 years ago. This game is good if you are a Metroid fan but if you have never played before this game is going to be hard. One of the main reasons is because there are pretty much endless shafts with plenty of enemies in them. Don't get me wrong, the game is good, but it is really hard. So I give it a 7/10.

SUPER METROID

The third in the Metroid series first released on April 18th 1994. This Metroid is really quite good but because of the graphics you can hardly tell what walls can be exploded in Super Metroid. Well what can I say, I love this game and I think it is a good use of $8 on your Wii. 9/10.

I am sorry for the lack of review but I am coming down with something right now. I hate to be sick on the Weekends, know what I mean?

Well nick, if you want more things than games, here goes.

So you might know, I love Maria Sharapova the tennis player, so I'll be posting updates when she wins a tourny or something happens to her, so be expecting that. I love Nintendo and thats why I buy most of my games on a Nintendo console. From now on I will only post on the SSBB updates that I am really excited about, like Yoshi, ect. Let me tell you what games I've reserved: Metroid Prime 3: Corruption, Loz: Phantom Hourglass, Mario Party DS, Super Mario Galaxy, Super Smash Bros. Brawl. Also as everyone who goes to even 1 other site for Nintendo news knows that the Wii has sold more than the 360, start lovin' it! Now I plan to reserve the Simpsons Game because I loved the movie (and don't tell me it is nothing like the movie because I read that from a website I check regularly to see if I missed anything). I plan on getting that Brain Age 2 game sometime this week or next. I'll be on vacation for almost 2 weeks on September 14th but I'll be taking my new laptop I got a week ago Saturday so I can still check my Myspace, email, and Post on the Blog. I also love the Detroit Tigers, Chicago White Sox, and The Phillies. About our Myspace, we just got it up on Wednesday and don't have much stuff to put on there yet. I haven't got many games in the last 2 months besides Mario Strikers Charged and I admit I haven't gotten around to having a review for it yet. Metroid and Super Metroid are 2 other games I have recently got for the VC on the Wii and didn't review yet. I don't have a 360 or PS3 yet so I can't review those games (but Squiggles does have a 360 but he is skimping on his work, I am trying to get him to review some of those games for 360). I love tennis but Englando is back in school now so I will have more time to post on the website. In the Summer Englando posts more and in the Fall and Winter I post a lot. Later on we will have an extensive Myspace page including reviews we have on the Blog. And I am in the market for a new car right now too so I've been looking for cars a lot lately. Even on top of that I have the Vongo service so I can watch movies for 10 bucks per month now. So as you can see I'm really quite busy all the time. By the way I love insults. Um, lets see, Mario & Sonic At the Olympic Games is a game that, in my opinion, looks like it is going to be great. I've seen some little videos and some pictures for the game and it looks like it will be a lot like the actual Olympics, and the graphics? Oh the graphics! They look so good! I love root beer.

Yoshi is a...

Dragon?!?!?!?! According to the Super Smash Bros. website Yoshi's Final Smash is called Super Dragon... Huh. I thought he was a cross between a lizard, dinosaur, and frog (his tong and jump). But a Dragon? Well that mystery is solved. I always liked arguing over what Yoshi was with my friends (and one friend insists that the games are called "Mario Smash Bros.", "Mario Smash Bros. 2: Melee", "Mario Smash Bros 3: Brawl", and "Mario Smash Bros. 4: Revolution" [TBA for DS]). Hmmm... SSB for DS, doesn't sound too bad.

Also an extra update on the SSBB website, "Animal Crossing: Go K.K. Rider", a song.

And let me point out that they had a Pit, Wario, Zero Suit Samus, Ike, Pokemon Trainer, and Diddy Kong page, but no Meta Knight or Snake page yet.

Well more of the story of SSBB has been announced yesterday and Diddy Kong today! Well I heard that a new fave character from the Mario series and Diddy Kong must be it. DAMN IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Englando and I both wanted Birdo to be it, and apparently so did a lot of you out there.

Summer Ending

Super Metroid is now on the Wii shop channel and Prime 3 is out in a week (or week and 1 day depending). WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! More Metroid

Well finally they updated the Metroid Prime 3 preview has been updated and it will be updated on Thursday the 16th. And on Monday the 20th Super Metroid hits Wii everywhere in the USA.

Well I downloaded the first Metroid game on the VC today. It is fairly hard but still fun.

Metroid Prime 3

Did you see your Wii this morning? Oh not that Wii!

Well enough of the bad humor, lets get down to business. Nintendo sent a new message across the country at 4 AM NY time, 5 Chicago, 7 LA. The message said that Nintendo is releasing the first Metroid game on the VC on August 13th, thats Monday! Then on the 20th the third Metroid game: Super Metroid. Then just a week after that on August 27th... Metroid Prime 3!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Apparently you are not as into the Metroid series as me. Oh well. Also Nintendo has the Metroid Prime 3 Preview channel now, there are currently 2 vids on there and it says that on the 13th there will be 2 more vids.

I'll go and sulk in the corner until Monday.

Well I'm going to get a Wii Classic Controller on the 20th to go with my new Metroid VC game.
