Diamond Review

HI!!!!!!!!! I agree with what Englando said about Pearl. Diamond is a very good game and I give it a 9.5 and I'll tell you why. Sounds, the Pokemon are still annoying but the music is good. Graphics, outside of battle the graphics are put to good use, in battle is STILL 2-D. If they had made the graphics in the battles 3-D it would look like a GC Pokemon game, so I don't want that kind of 3-D, but, well, you know. The new Item Finder is sort of hard to use, but if you get the hang of it, you will be using it all the time. Some of the new moves are kind of stupid like Defog ect. but now you don't need a gym badge to use Flash(Happy days!!!!).

Pearl Review

Hey y'all it's ya fave. As you know we have been anticipating both these games for a while. Steak got both and I, Englando got Pearl. I'm going to do the review for Pokemon Pearl and Steak will do Diamond. Here it goes... First I would like to say this, this is the best DS RPG yet. You take the old skool theme of Pokemon and add new elements, new places, new people, and of course new Pokemon. The big step up is that you can trade with anyone around the world. You basically put out the offered Pokemon and see who replies. Another big step up is the graphics(outside of battle). They are really great, 3-D mixed with old 2-D. There are over 100 new pokemon and the ultimate goal is to catch em all. This game also brings back the night and day themes, which will have you staying up late to catch that certain pokemon. The only set back is the sound and battle graphics. They are good but a bit dated. Like the pokemon's cries, they still sound crappy and a bit annoying, they make me want to cry. The battle graphics are okay but it's like playing a GBA. Although there are minor setbacks, this game is awesome and you should definetely get it, Pokefan or not.
Final Score: 9.25

Super Paper Mario

Now it's time for my official review of Super Paper Mario.

SUPER PAPER MARIO

9.5

One of the best games of all time, Super Paper Mario brings a long awaited game to the Wii. With its 2-D/3-D approach, it has plenty of hidden coins and other secrets. Mario doesn't have the same battle tactics as in The Thousand Year Door, he now just jumps on enemies, no crowd whatsoever. Despite this fact, Super Paper Mario still delivers a fun and fast paced RPG to the Wii. Mario, Luigi, Bowser, and the Princess are back and better than ever. With new moves, Mario takes gaming to a whole new level. The graphics are just the same as in The Thousand Year Door but still look stunning.

Englando will have a review either Saturday or, more likely, Sunday, as he is very busy right now.

Currently we do not know if McM will be able to review this game as he is not answering his phone. I've called him about 3 times today but his cell phone is off.

Also a bit of news down below.

There have been in-game hints leading to the idea that connection between Super Paper Mario and a DS game is possible.

I'll post ASAP -- Steak

New blogger

I am so f***ing lost n this new blogger thing. I don't know where to click anymore. It didn't even give me a choice. It said I had to get a Google account. I don't know why. I wonder if it's going to send me updates at my Google email? I'm just lost.

Anyway I can't do the review of Super Paper Mario because I have to run right now. I'm working on what to rate it, I'll post back soon to officially review it.

Until next time -- Steak

WII!!!!

Well, you may be wondering why I'm up at this time of the night. Well I just picked up my copy of Super Paper Mario at like 5 in the afternoon. I've been playing it since I got it and I finished the first two levels already. I'll have a complete review this afternoon. I was just turning my light off at 2:40 and my Wii flashes blue. I turn it on to read the message. The new Internet Channel came out, I'm updating my Wii right now, in fact, It's probably done by now, I just have to download the Internet for free now. It's free until the end of June, so if you want it, I'd recommend getting a Wii now. In July on it will be $5 to download, not that much, but if you're saving to get SSB Brawl... You get the picture. My next post might be from my Wii.

Post you all soon -- Steak

late 80's

If you had said in th late 1980's that cute and scary little monsters would take America by storm on cards, video games, TV, and the big screen by 1999, you would've been put in an insane asylum. But look at them now! 2007 and still going strong. 493 Pokemon and counting. I know for a fact that they will make it to 1,000 pokemon by 2015. It's not just a fad, it's bigger than Mario. It's going to make it to 1,000 or more before it's finished. Hell, the kids that play Pokemon right now might have their own kids playing Pokemon when they're 7-40 too. Then the parents can tell their kids stories about when Pokemon first came around in 1998 in America. I'm listing Green Day's Good Riddance [Time Of Your Life] and Wake Me Up When September Ends so I'm getting a little choked up right now.

You probably read this somewhere else by now, I was on Spring Break so I didn't post for a while. Sonic and Mario are going to the 2008 Olympics together.

I really want a side-scrolling Mario game on a home system right now, oh well.
