100TH POST CELEBRATION!!!!!

IT'S THE 100TH POST CELEBRATION!
Well we have been posting our game reviews, feelings, and every bit of news that we feel like for more than a year now. This all started with a fan base of my family just on February 10th of 2006, almost 20 months ago. Sorry it took so long to post this one but we have worked on it for weeks. The last post was 2 weeks ago when I was still in Mexico! But I got back on 24th and started working on this with Englando right when I got back.

Just to note, the next post will be in the 2nd week of October as Englando is taking a small break and I will be playing LoZ: Phantom Hourglass, it launches on October 1st, Monday.

IN THE BEGINNING!
We started out with just 3 writers, Steak, England, and McM. We got 2 more writers in the second month but neither of them lasted long, Peaches and Dir7. 1 post each. In the first month we let McM go because of his conflict of school, but soon after we got him back. Then a few months ago we fired McM. He was well missed but replaced soon after, with Squiggles. Squiggles has never posted but offered the much needed support.

The Rob Squad!
Well a few important announcements on the SSBB website in the last few weeks. That includes the Rob Squad as a boss and Wi-Fi for Brawl! Yay! I LOVE NINTENDO! They always have the best games! With the announcement of the Tourney mode you can party till dawn! I know, cheesy. Also I would like to mention that with Mr. Resetti in the game, I will start taking my frustration out on you! Ha-ha! Always good for a few laughs! OH SHUT UP NOW! YAY! Trophies make a return! And now... PIPLUP! YAY! I love Piplup! Now it may just be me, but I think the Ice-Climbers should have NOT come back! And many more things have been announced and will be announced soon! How about a little Sonic anyone?

Most of you will not like to read this, so skip the next paragraph if you don't want to hear about my vacation.

Well I got there on the 14th. It was a really nice hotel, it was right on the beach and had a HUGE pool. It had this great game room with 2 foosball tables, 4 tennis courts (too bad I didn't get to play), 5 pool tables, and a ping-pong table. The room had a hot tub and a 16" flat screen HD TV (most of it was Spanish). All in all, it was a good vacation but it is good to be HOME!

Hey y'all its ya fave for the 100th time. Probably not the 100th from me, but the 100th in general. I'm going to talk about so many things it's going to be crazy. I still can't believe that we have lasted this long, it really is great. First I want to talk about Venus being in the finals of the Korean Open. I'm kind of surprised that Venus would play such a small tournament when there is a bigger one going on. Either way she will add another title to her name. Next I'm going to give awards. Since we have started we have been getting comments about us and our writing, so I thought it would only be fitting to give props to those who deserve it. Here we go.

Most Original: LaKeisha
Most Outrageous: Nick
Most Negative: Nick
Most Faithful: Kim
Most Hilarious: Dan J. :)
Biggest Battle: Gay Pride and Straight Pride
Most Inspirational: Chris
Best Insults: Kim
Best One-Timer: Emma age 8
Best Commenter: Kim
Honorable Mention: Anonymous

Alright, now that we are done with that I'm gong to talk about my most fond memories. My biggest memory was writing my first comment. It was in like February of 2006. I really didn't know what I was doing, but I'm really glad I joined. I really enjoy reading our comments no matter how good, bad, mean, or weird. You all make writing worth while. I also want to say that making a Myspace really got us to get more people to read our site and I thank all those who became our friends.
To wrap it up I would like to say that it has been a really great 100 posts and hopefully we will be around for another 100. Love, peace, and video games!

Well I bet you all heard that the Wii's VC will have TurboGrafx-CD games and Neo-Geo games soon. Well I am going to just talk about that right now. I am amazed that not many game systems are on the VC so I am also excited about this. I also want to mention that it amazes me that there are only a few N64 games out there. I also want to ask you if you think it would be a good idea to add Virtual Boy games. I know that it would be nearly impossible to do the 3D thing, but Nintendo could re-release the 13 VB titles on the VC as 2D titles. Because that is like the only system I can't play, and it would be SO cool to be able to play Mario's Tennis.

I'd like to mention how much all of you mean to us here at VGD, Kim, Dan J.:), and even Nick. Also all of you that didn't comment much but have earned a place in our robotic hearts.

#99

Hey y'all it's ya fave, Englando. I just wanted to say that this post no. 99, which means that this is the last post before we reach our 100th. I would like to say that Steak is having fun in Mexico, so that is why we haven't been posting. I'm enjoying the games that I'm playing, so you should too. Super Paper Mario is sooo great, get if you haven't already. On a tennis note, Lindsay Davenport won her comeback tournament after a years layoff and having a baby. Snaps for Lindsay. I still can't belive that we have posted for so long dating back to February 2006. You all should look at our old post and see how far we've come. Anyways, enjoy yourselves out there and remember that you all keep us going.

Ummmmmmm...

Well, I would like to say sorry for the lack of posts recently.

And recently (I don't know when exactly), TurboGrafx-CD was added to the Wii's VC lineup. So from now on, when I announce something about TurboGrafx games, I will make sure to specify what kind it is.

Also I would like to say that I am very excited about the release of Legend Of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass! In just about 2 weeks it will be out. Then on October 10th... MY BIRTHDAY! YAY! I want a 360, so all you readers out there, pitch in and buy me one, and Halo 3!

So...

I saw on the Wikipedia VC page that Neo-Geo games have been announced for the US Virtual Console. I hope they get some good classic games on there. Hopefully they will put even more old Sega games from other consoles on there.

In other news, this is the 97th post on Virtual Gamers Digest! Soon we will have the 100 post celebration! With free video games, cake, t-shirts, and much much more!*

*This is not true. But we will have a HUGE post from Steak and Englando.

Well, ta-ta for now!

The New iPod Nano

Hey y'all its ya fave, Englando. I'm going to talk abut something that we have never talked about on this website, the iPod. Apple has created a new iPod Nano. It shorter, but more wide than the previous Nano's. Also it can now play videos and is 65% brighter, as if it weren't already. I'm so mad I got the first gen because this one is sooo much better. Also I would like to talk about the US Open. As we know, Sharapova lost early, but now Venus and Serena lost to the same person. That person is Justine Henin. She will be playing in the final with Svetlana Kuznetsova, yay that is going to be so very exciting. Lastly I would like to thank you all for commenting so much lately; we really do appreciate it. I'll post again soon!

Nintendo Patents?

You all probably saw all the new Nintendo patents including the "Wii Handle" and those 2 new Mii channels. Well I bet that the "Wii Handle" is like a carrying case for the Wii. Just tell me your ideas of what the "Wii Handle" is at steakvgd@yahoo.com and send questions and comments to us too.

What Just Happened?

World number 2, Maria Sharapova stepped into her third round match losing only 2 games. She faces a relatively unknown player by the name of Agnieszka Radwanska ranked 32 in world. It was the first time Radwanska stepped onto Arthur Ashe stadium, ans she didn't even seem fazed. Maria and Agnieszka faced one time with Maria being victorious. As the match progressed it seemes that Radwanska knew she could give the fabulous Sharapova a test, even win it. At 5-4 Radwanska broke Maria to take the first set. In the second, Sharapova got her act together and won easily 6-1. In the final set, Sharapova went up 2-0 and looked like she had the match under control, but then Radwanska then played like she had nothing to lose. Radwanska then won the next six games and the match. When it was all said and done Sharpapova ended with over 40 unforced errors and 12 double faults. Now the second half of the draw has been blown wide open. We could only hope to see one of the Williams' vs. Vaidisova, who is the closest thing to Sharapova. I really hope Venus or Serena wins the US Open because right now this is the most lopsided US Open I've ever seen.
