THE END

Hey y'all, this will be my last post. I have come back from the grave for one last post. In todays news Venus and Serena are in the Olympics, Sharapova and Ivanovic pulled out. Sharapova also pulled out the us open. I bought Super Smash Bros. Brawl and Mario Kart Wii. They were good. I had a fun summer. I went to New York and Florida and St. Louis and am about to go to Phoenix. I loved you all and always have. We are to end because of a lack of interest. Sorry but go find another site! We apologize once again, but it is time to move on and do bigger and better things. I will miss you all and everything you had to say. Peace, Love and Happiness.

-For the last time, Englando

Holy shit a ghost! So that is MY one-liner for the day.

I remember how we started, I needed money. Yes, this whole phenomena started because I was short on cash. lol worthy indeed. I had decided to start writing a video game blog in the hopes of selling it to random people around my town. I also had planned on making shirts, taking pictures, etc. Then we moved to Blogger. I was going to make a YouTube for VGD, posting videos of my gaming setup and video reviews. But as you can see, that didn't happen. So we ended up with this.

--Steak

And now, fair commenters, this is farewell. It has been fun, it has been hard. But now it is time to go. And we will always have this site for the comments, whenever we need a good laugh, it will always be here. Just think of this as the end of a great video game. We will always be there.

And as we have gotten many emails and comments about revealing our true identities, here they are;

Steak: My name is Kevin. When I started this blog I was 11 years old. I am 13 now.

Englando: My name is London. When I joined this blog one day after it started, I was 14. I am now 17. I am not gay!!!

Goodbye, farewell, this was some of our best times writing and reading comments on here.

E3 and Englando

I'll start with the exciting news. Englando has been ruled dead. Yup, I am now the only remaining person on the Virtual Gamers Digest staff.

And then E3, well E3 is on the 15th-17th of July, in a few days. I'll bring any news that I find interesting.

Some little news

Alright... I don't think anyone even comes here anymore... Well we at VGD are having some little problems. Lack of funds, missing our second poster, and having just about nothing to post about anymore.

First off, I have no money. Nothing. So no new games for me in the next few months.

Englando has gone missing. He went on vacation about two weeks ago and I haven't heard form him since. So we currently have only one person on the VGD team.

And with the lack of news that I find interesting, well, I find myself not posting blogs much at all. As you can see, my last blog is me typing gibberish in.

Little bit of news. Kirby game coming out for DS. It is said to be a remake with some new cut scenes and mini games.

Hello

Yes. Uh... I didn't forget about you guys. Yeah... Lack of money makes me very bored and not able to buy new games. So... Yeah... E3 coming up sometime soon.

Steak's top 10 game series of all time

The top 10 series of all time, by Steak

First off, sorry about the absence, I was in a little acident, nothing major, but I couldn't type for like 2 weeks. So you can all wecome me back now! *watches as 10 comments saying I should have died come in*

Alright, I will be doing my list of the 10 best game series of time.

10. Spyro, first game: Spyro the Dragon, platform: PS1. September 10th, 1998. Yeah, I loved this little purple dragon! So many things to do in his games... Good times...

9. Project Gotham Racing, first game: Project Gotham Racing, platform: XBOX. November 9th, 2001. Oh yes, wonderful game. I didn't play one until recently, but it is an amazing racing game.

8. Paper Mario, first game: Paper Mario, platform: N64. February 5th, 2001. Great games, though my favorite is the second one. I have never actually gotten bored of one of these games, but I haven't finished one, the final boss is always too hard for me.

7. Bunrout, first game: Bunrout, platform: PS2, XBOX, Gamecube. PS2: November 11th, 2001, XBOX: April 30th, 2002, Gamecube: April 29, 2002. First game I played was Burnout Paradise, but it is still great.

6. Mario Party, first game: Mario Party, platform: N64. februaury 8th, 1999. The first game sucked. In my opinion, it was horrible. I much prefer number 3 or 6. Otherwise, great games!

5.Ridge Racer, first game: Ridge Racer, platform: Arcade. October 7th, 1993. These were always fun games, greta graphics, and all around gameplay. I think this may just be my favorite racer of all time.

4. Super Mario Bros., first game: Super Mario Bros., platform: Nintendo Entertainment System. October 18th, 1985. I have never been bored playing these games, ever. I have beaten all three for the NES too!

3. Virtua Tennis (Sega Sports Tennis), first game: Virtua Tennis, platform: Arcade, Dreamcast. Arcade: 1999, Dreamcast: February 14th, 2000. Yes, I love tennis. I have always loved the game, and the video games. I can't really say much, but my favorite is Virtua Tennis 3, but I do like all of them.

2. The Legend of Zelda, first game: The Legend of Zelda, platform: Nintendo Entertainment System. August 22nd, 1987. Yup, loved this series, played almost every game, only just beat my first one, The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past. But yeah, great games.

1. Pokemon, first game: Pokemon Red and Blue, platform: Game Boy. September 1st, 1998. You know me, one of the biggest Pokemon fans out there! I actually didn't play Pokemon until 2000, but I have beaten every main Pokemon game for handhelds.

Top 20 games of all time Part 3

Alright, it's time!

1. The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past, SNES. I think this is my second SNES game on here, but I'm not sure. This is an all around amazing game, this game lasted me over 25 hours, and I am still stuck on the last boss! Two words as to why this game pwns, Master Sword. I absolutely love this game, and will probably play through it a few more times in my life. Released on the SNES on April 13th, 1992. On the GBA on December 2nd, 2002. And on the VC on January 22nd, 2007.

And now for the runners up.

The Simpsons Game, 360
Need for Speed: Most Wanted, PS2
Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door, GC
Super Mario Kart, SNES
Super Mario Sunshine, GC
Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Wii
Sonic Mega Collection Plus, XBOX
Virtua Tennis 3, 360
Burnout Paradise, 360
F-Zero GX, GC
Metroid: Zero Mission, GBA

There are lots more, but those are my favorites. Remember that some of these are multi-platform, but I listed what I played them on.

Next, top 10 series of all time.

Top 20 games of all time, Part 2

10. Baseball Advanced, GBA. I usually don't play many sports games, and I don't put them on my lists, but this is special. A wonderful game, so easy, I actually shut out the Detroit Tigers 128 to nothing. I had to keep score after 99. I always loved the game. Released on March 20th, 2002.

9. Paper Mario, N64. To be fair, all three Paper Mario games deserve to be on this list, but there are so many other great classic games that I had to cut the second and third. Anyways, this game was one of the all time classics on the N64, you played as Paper Mario, 2D Mario, as you progressed through the game, you had to fight to get back Princess Peach (AGAIN), and collecting Star Spirits. You could also get sidekicks to help with your quest. It featured turn based game-play. It was one of the last games for the N64, released on February 5th, 2001. It was ported to the Virtual Console on July 16th, 2007, a great, great day for me. And, according to Japanese magazine CoroCoro, the DS would play host to the remake of Paper Mario, but this is unconfirmed by Nintendo.

8. Super Smash Bros., N64. This game pwns. Need I say more? I will anyways. I have always loved Mario, Kirby, Yoshi, and Luigi. This game was suited for me. I have logged probably over 100 hours into this games multiplayer alone. This has always been a favorite of mine, and always will. Launched on April 26th, 1999.

7. Pokemon Yellow: Special Pikachu Edition, GB. The only reason this is better than Red or Blue is because of Pikachu. The cute little Electric mouse Pokemon followed you around, everywhere you go. It wouldn't let you evolve him, though you could trade it to a friend who would evolve it, and then return it to you, but it never followed you around anymore. Launched on October 1st, 1999.

6. Mario Kart 64, N64. In my opinion, THE best Mario Kart, and better than any of the spin-offs/sports titles Mario has been in. Mario Kart 64 had some of the most blatent cheating by a computer ever. Through so many things that made this game darn near impossible to beat all the way through, it still was kick-***. Sure, the computers may go faster than you even when you have a Golden Mushroom, but the game was just that magical! I have not been able to put this game down yet, and I have been playing it at about every chance since 2000, I just love this game. So many items, racers, sure compared to todays standards of 15+ playable vehicles in every racing game is not to be found here, but the game was pure amazing. This game launched on February 10th, 1997, and was put on the VC on January 29th, 2007 a bit less than 10 years after the original release on the N64.

5. Mario and Luigi: Partners in Time, NDS. A sequel to a great game on the GBA. In this one you have not only tow brothers to control, you also have two baby to control. The story is very complex, but very short. In fact, I beat the game in one day on my second play through. Launched on November 28th, 2005.

4. Super Mario World, SNES. Ah, Yoshi. He makes his first playable appearance, if not his first all together. You played as, who else, Mario or Luigi, trying to save, who else, Princess Peach/Toadstool. You also got to ride the cute little dino Yoshi. Mario abused Yoshi. When ever he wanted to make Yoshi eat something, he would hit it. If that's not electronic abuse, I don't know what is. Launched on August 13th, 1991 as a pack in for the launch of the SNES. Also appeared on Super Mario All Stars two years later on August 2nd, 1993. Was on the GameBoy Advanced, with slightly modified game play. And it was put onto the VC on February 5th, 2007.

3. The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, N64. This game was great, I have spent loads of time in this game alone, all the songs, traveling on Epona, going back and forth in time, it was great. It launched on November 23rd, 1998. On GameCube game, "Master Quest" on February 17th, 2003, and on "The Legend of Zelda: Collector's Edition" on November 17th, 2003. Also on the Virtual Console, February 27th, 2007.

2. Pokemon Crystal Version, GBC. Ah, back to the good old days of two worlds to explore. Wonderful, isn't it? One name for ya, Cydaquil. My favorite starter OF ALL TIME. Which, in time, led to my favorite Pokemon of all time, Typhlosion. I won't go into detail, but it was the first Pokemon I ever got to level 100 all by my self. Launched on July 29th, 2001.

I am saving number 1 and runners up for part 3! Due out Thursday or sooner!

Notice

Part 2 of my top 20 games list delayed, for all 2 of you who were looking forward. I was working on it yesterday, to be posted tonight, but my internet went down, so I had to re-write everything in Word because I lost everything in my email (how I usually write). Plus I couldn't get on the internet to double check facts and release dates. But I promise it will be up tomorrow night.

Top 20 games of all time by Steak Part 1

Top 20 games of all time by Steak Part 1

Remember that this list is my opinion, many people will agree with me, but more will probably disagree.

20. Halo: Combat Evolved, XBOX. One of the most influential FPS games of all time, a release title for the XBOX. This Halo only had four people per match, unless you used a lan, but the single player made up for that. Launched on November 15th, 2001

19. Super Mario 64, N64. Some know this as the main game on the Nintendo 64, for me, it was the reason I bought it. Another launch title, some of the best games were the first. The first fully 3D Mario game with a changeable camera view, nicely polished graphics (especially for the time). It was such a hit that Nintendo re made it with the addition of Luigi, Yoshi, and Wario as playable characters for the DS, then they made it a launch title for the Virtual Console on the Wii. Launched on N64 September 29th, 1996.

18. Spyro: Year of the Dragon, PS1. For me, this was one of the most fun I have ever had playing a Spyro game, in my opinion it is the best of the series, I first played this at a friends house thinking that playing as a purple dragon was completely gay, but it was fun as h***(I don't want to be liable). I had it for a while, but I actually had to sell it back to my friend for the last few bucks I needed for my 360. Haven't been able to find it since. Launched on November 30th, 2000

17. The Legend of Zelda, NES. Ah, the first game in the Zelda series, so many memories, some fond, some pure h***. the game was really hard, and without the manual, it was even harder, never finished it, but it sure was revolutionary. Launched on August 22, 1987. Also on the Virtual Console

16. Crackdown, 360. A pure gem in the rough. Too cliche? Well anyways, you played as a super cop, trying to wipe out all the gangs that are running a muck in the city. About the opposite of GTA. What can I say? The game was fun, addicting, and long. Launched on February 20th, 2007.

15. ATV: Offroad Fury 2, PS2. Sure, 3 and 4 are probably better, but I have yet to get them. This game is essentially just racing on a set track or in free roam with an ATV, All Terrain Vehicle. I have put more hours into this game than most on my 360, Wii, and PS2, and that's saying a lot! Launched on November 9th, 2002.

14. Mario Kart DS, NDS. Truly a replica of Mario Kart 64, incredible gameplay and graphics for a hand held, 12 playable karters, 13 if you count Shy Guy who can only be played via DS Download Play for the person without the game. This game introduced single player non racing mini games, Balloon Battle and Shine Battle (?). These can also be accessed in multi player mode. The first Mario Kart game to feature an emblem maker and Online gameplay. Launched November 14th, 2005.

13. New Super Mario Bros., NDS. The first true to the classic Mario side scrolling game in ages, and it was one h*** of a game! With 8 worlds, Mario, and Luigi, this game had it all! Secret exits to send you to far away worlds and a double length final world made this game a classic all over agin. I mean, it has so many power ups, the all new Mega Mushroom, Tini Mushroom, Blue Koopa Shell, and the classics, Mushrooms and Fire Flowers. Launched on May 25th 2006. Boy was that a great day.

12. Sonic the Hedgehog 2, Gen. The first Sega game on this list just happens to be the first Sega game I have ever played. I remember that game like it was just yesterday that I played it. The multiplayer has kept it being a great party game for me, because I have it on the XBOX Sonic Mega Collection Plus game. The whole concept of multiplayer in this game is quite thought out, four stages, and if it's tied, an extra one. It is amazing that such a game has kept my friends and me interested for so long. Let alone the one player game. The memories from this game are incredibly strong, being that it is the first game I have ever played. I would have loved to put it at number one just because of that, but I don't want to be too bias in this list. Launched on November 24th, 1992. It has also been released on the XBOX, PS2, and GC in the compilation game Sonic Mega Collection and Sonic Mega Collection Plus, it has also been released for the Virtual Console.

11. Gran Turismo 4, PS2. Just want to mention here, I like Gran Turismo 3 about as much. This game is a racing game including an incredible amount of cars, so many that I have included a link to the Wikipedia page for it because this would take 6 times the room of everything else on this list. GT4 launched a Prologue at Christmas 2003 because it was pushed back, but the final version was released on February 22nd, 2004. Copy and past this for more info on GT4 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gran_Turismo_4

All right, that concludes Part 1 of this list, check often because Part 2 and 3 will be coming soon!

Alright "something new"

It has been a while since our last post, but I really have not come across anything until just yesterday. I was browsing the internet when I came across this, creators of Burnout Paradise are making a dlc! It will contain motorcycles and a night time into the game. It is unannounced if it will cost money, and if it will be on 360, but it probably will be.

Other that that, I don't have enough money to buy GTA4 OR Mario Kart Wii, so yeah...

Mario Kart Wii, GTA4

Wow, I didn't notice this till yesterday, but Mario Kart Wii and GTA4 come out one day apart! That means I will only be getting one, and I might not even have the money for that, if I do get one, I feel I should stay loyal to Nintendo, so Mario Kart it is. BTW, for the lazy, Mario Kart Wii comes out April 27th and GTA4 comes out April 28th.

Update for Halo Combat Evolved?

So I fired up my 360 this morning and I decided to play Halo 1, the one I downloaded, and then, it tells me to update it. I'm like "wa? wait, why would they update Halo Combat Evolved?" Well, I don't know, maybe they added another level or more weapons? I doubt it, but I am going to do some research to find out. BTW, forums are my best friend right now, so I might not get an answer right away, maybe by tomorrow?

GTA4, Brawl, and other crap

GTA4. Well, I want it so bad! I would have added another word to that sentence, but I have someone on my tail about things. Well anyways, this game will have everything! It will have a great story, great graphics, lots of cops, guns, girls, car chases, and just a wide open world in general! Unfortunately, I probably will not be able to get it.

Brawl. Oh my little Brawl. I can't wait for Brawl. I have that one reserved at GameStop and I will be going to the midnight launch party!

Other crap. I have three games I want really bad but know I don't have the money for. Turning Point: Fall Of Liberty, Frontlines: Fuel of War, and Universe at War. All three of these are great games and I would really like one if not all three. CoD4 would be nice too. Also, there is a new RvB video up, not really RvB, but it is a mini series.

Hi

You are all very nice. I like you all. The comments are really fun to read! Keep posting new ones please!

You should never take drugs people. Drugs are bad and can mess up your life very much. Even drugs given to you by your doctor can be very bad for you and mess you up. My sister took drugs that her doctor gave her and it messed her up. Also don't smoke.

2 years, and 13 days!

So we are going over all of our old comments, and we decided to start as far back as we could, so I clicked on the link for Feb 2006! February 10th, 2006, I posted as 2 in the morning, and that was the start of what was to come, with lots of strange, wacko, and downright weird comments. Well, I will hand this over to Englando now!

It is jut so great to see so far we have made it. I mean, it wasn't even down for this whole blog thing at first, but I joined and am happy. Well I'm happy to see we are still going. Oh, and of course I have to give a shout out to Sharapova for winning the Australian Open. Thank you all you've been great.

Fine, I'll post something new

Well this is the time of the year in video games, when... NOTHING HAPPENS!!!!! There has been like no news that we are interested in.

Um, Brawl comes out in a month and 5 days. Um, Mario Kart Wii will probably get pushed back to Christmas. Um, Halo Wars will probably come out in August. Um, Englando and I will probably start playing tennis again in a month or two. Um, that's it.

Bleep!

I'M A FREEKIN KILL SOMEBODY NOW! I'M A FREEKIN KILL SOMEBODY!

They pushed back Brawl till March 9th! Freek! Or should I say, Frick! I might just spend my money on something else now, because, come March 1st, this will happen. "We are very sorry but Brawl has been pushed back to September because of Nintendo Wi-Fi connection problems."

I smell a rip off!

Microsoft just announced a new thing that will let you implement items on screen with your hands! Blatant rip off of the Wii, don't you say?

Also, I just picked up a bunch of games for Christmas. And to the emails I have been getting, I will not be reviewing any more games. So there!

Some weird guy was just announced for Brawl. I won't go into detail.

New Year Review

Hey y'all, its ya fave, Englando. Happy New Year to you all! 2008 is gonna be a good one. Some of the things you can look for in 2008 are more reviews, more in depth coverage, and more posts in general. Well to start off the new year I'm going to do a review for Super Mario Galaxy, which I got for Christmas. If I could sum this game up in one word it would be: inspirational, dazzling, ingenius, and most of all fun. Well maybe that wasn't one word, but it is just so good I can't describe it anyway else. The designs of the levels are great, the use of gravity is phenomenal. This game is just really really good. The only minor problem I can see is that sometimes the camera angle isn't good. Other than hat this game is the best thing I've played in a long time. Definetely the best game on Wii and probably the best game of 2007. If you have a Wii you should definitely buy this game, you wont regret it!

Final Score: 10

Merry Christmas

Hey y'all, it's ya fave, Englando. Merry Christmas to all of you. WOW, it has been a while since I posted last. First of all I'm going to give my final thoughts of the end of the tennis season, which ended over a month ago. Well it was a good return for the Williams Sisters. A up and down year for Maria Sharapova, but she ended well. An outstanding year for Justine Henin...BOO! Anyways time to talk about my Christmas List. First, I want Mario Galaxy for the Wii. Second, I want LoZ: Phantom Hourglass for the DS. Next I need a new tennis racquet, Wilson hopefully. Lastly, I want some new cloths. I advise you get my Christmas List because it is perfect, just like me. Love, peace, and I Hope you have a merry little Christmas nowwwwwwwwwwwww. Post soon!

New games and the Holidays!

I got a few new games in the last 2 months: Mario Party DS, Super Mario Galaxy, Rockstar Games Table Tennis, Test Drive Unlimited, Halo: CE (on XBOX Arcade) and Call Of Duty 2. Out of all of them, I will review Mario Party DS, Halo: CE, and Super Mario Galaxy. I won't do them right now, but I promise that I will do them before I go to Detroit for Christmas.

Englando will probably want to post something soon too, probably Saturday.

I love Christmas! Englando and I always go to the park and play Pokemon and listen to Christmas music and hope for snow! Now I hate eggnog but I found this new thing, Silk Nog! It is made without milk and tastes so much better.

I will be getting the Simpsons Movie soon too, I can't wait to watch it over and over. I will also be getting the Halo: Combat Evolved soundtrack, Halo 2 Vol. 1 soundtrack, Halo 2 Vol. 2 soundtrack, and the Halo 3 soundtrack soon! I love Halo!
